Cousins, Smiles, and Graduation

The middle of May was packed with fun Rowberry family events! It mostly centered around my mom's graduation from Catholic University. She graduated with her Master's degree in Social Work on May 15, 2010! I am so proud of her!

All of my siblings except for Kristy (who was and is in Fiji with HELP International) were able to fly or drive into town. It was really great to be with my almost all my siblings at one time. That does not happen very much at all! My family is spread out across this vast country, so it is hard to get everyone together.

I was able to see my sister, Shauntelle, before the actual graduation day. It was great to see her and see her newest addition, Isla. Isla and Eve are 5 weeks apart, Isla being the older of the two girls. It was fun to see them together and see how they reacted to another baby being around. :)

On the 15th, I got to see the rest of my siblings. Most of my siblings had to come by themselves since it was a quick trip, but it was still nice just to hang out with them. I think I sometimes forget how much fun and how awesome my siblings are. I guess it might be because most of them got married when I was fairly young, so I feel like I am reacquainting myself with the adult version of them and me. It's pretty fun :)

Reed was in heaven because Brandon and Kim came with their 7 kids. Those are the cousins he knows the best and therefore, he loves to play with all of them. He used to only play with 1 or 2 of them, but since he has seen them so many times, he likes to play with all of them! He even remembers all 9 of their names! Pretty impressive if you ask me. :) Eve just chilled like her normal self while she was passed around from uncle to uncle and aunt to aunt.

The graduation was a great accomplishment for my mom! I am so proud that she had the guts and drive to go back to school when the time was right for her. It makes me feel like my dream to get a Master's degree is not just a dream. Someday, it can become a reality, if I choose.

That evening we had a party for my mom and, as expected, tons of people showed up. I guess I should have talked to more people in my parents' ward, but really, I just talked to my siblings, my Aunt Anita, my Uncle Jimmy, and my Aunt (well, not really, but I feel like she is) Janet. I figured since I never get to see these people, I should probably talk to them. Most of them left Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.

It was a busy, but awesome weekend. Wow, I almost can't believe that we survived!

Meeting Isla Rae Rowberry Pallet.....

I just love this little guy....he was so happy to meet Isla!

Looking at Shauntelle

Isla loved touching Eve. Eve was not so sure about it, but didn't cry, so that's a good thing :)

Playing at the park - he was watching a plane.....I really think he might be a pilot someday :)

I love this shirt! Oh, and I love the person wearing the shirt :)

Eve loves being outside...just like her brother.

Pondering on the greater things of life :)

It's official! She has a Master's degree!

Congrats, Mom!!!

Eve just hung out through the whole thing - despite it being the middle of her nap time. Good baby :)
