Boxes, Sleep, Pumpkins, and New Stuff

Yes, I am still updating about November, but I am getting closer and closer to being all the way caught up! My goal is to be caught up by the end of January - so there will be lots of posting before then :) Anyways....

I love how children can take the simplest thing and have hours of fun. Who ever said that to have fun you have to spend money? I don't think anyone! Every other week I get a box of fruits and veggies delivered to my door (so awesome - they try to get it as local as possible). Reed and Eve LOVE helping me unload the box and put the produce away. My day is already better when I see how excited they get to have apples, bananas, cucumbers and such. But, the best part is that they take the box and just play and play! They go on train rides, airplane rides, on a spaceship, hide from mommy, and many other things! I love it!

Sleep is always a good thing! I love watching my babies sleep - I think it's the cutest thing. Aria and Daddy took a (much needed) nap. So cute!

November 12th

 I am not sure what Eve was looking at, but I love her mesmerized look! Also, check out the post-nap hair - always a sight to see!

November 12th

 November 20th - We got pumpkins from someone and we decided it would be fun to paint them! The kids also wore their new Thanksgiving tie and bows to church!

More Park Fun

The beginning of November was filled with good park days. November 5th was especially fun because daddy got to come to the park. He is really good at making huge piles of leaves!

November 7th was yet another park day! We saw some very interesting things that day and yes, we played in the leaves again!

 Here are the interesting bugs we saw. I don't know what they are. They look like ants with wings (I guess they could be just that, but I am not sure). When we got to the park in the afternoon they were all over the wood. After about 45 minutes (and as it started getting a little dark) they were completely inside the crack of the wood! It was very interesting to watch and Reed, Eve, and myself were fascinated with it. I must admit I was a little grossed out by them as well.

November Park Fun

November 1, 2011 - As I have said before, Reed is becoming quite the photographer. Here are some shots of Aria that turned out pretty cool.

November 4, 2011 - This was an excellent park day. It was not super cold (we just needed a light jacket), the leaves were almost all off the trees (perfect for making piles and jumping in them), and the sun was shining (always a plus)! We spent a lot of time getting the leaves together and then jumping in them. We also threw leaves at each other - which just made Reed and Eve laugh over and over again. They also enjoyed the playground. Reed even showed me how he could hang from the bar! It was a good day :)

Halloween

I love this picture despite the house being a total mess!

Happy Halloween and Nevada Day - a few months late! Grandma Walker sent the kids some cute stuff - A tie for Reed and little bows for Eve and Aria. They all looked so cute matching at church!

Halloween Day was pretty normal - Reed went to preschool, but he got to dress up as a shark! He was so excited to show everyone his shark costume. He was pretty funny about it - sometimes just wanting the head on and not the body, other times wanting just the body and not the head. We did convince him to put the whole thing on while trick-or-treating, though. Phew! While Reed was at preschool, Aria did this:

That night we went trick-or-treating with the Peterson family a.k.a. Taryn's family (Reed's bff). It took forever to get to their house, but we had fun when we got there. My dad came with us, which is always super fun for me and the kids. They just love Grandpa Rowberry! They were just the cutest saying "trick-or-treat" and holding out their bags.

Reed, as mentioned before, was a shark, Eve was a bumblebee (seriously the cutest one ever), and Aria was a sweet pea! They all (minus Aria) got lots of candy and were very cold by the end of the night. But, as always, it was fun!

Halloween is coming

Here is our fun the weekend before Halloween! I don't know why, but I just love Halloween. Dressing up as a child was always so much fun and getting candy was the best! Also, I remember that my parents would usually invite people over to have soup and rolls. So, the kids went trick-or-treating and then came over to play and eat candy while the adults talked and ate yummy food. It was great!

Here are some of the things we did:

Eve was showing Aria one of the baby toys. Aria was somewhat impressed. October 27th

We went to Cox Farms for Gwynne's (a preschool friend) 4th birthday and loved playing and the hay ride! October 28th.

On Saturday, the 29th, we carved our pumpkin (if carved too early, the pumpkin is moldy by Halloween) with daddy! Reed and Eve did an excellent job getting out all the seeds and pumpkin pulp. Mommy drew the face, but the shapes were decided by Reed and Eve. As is custom, daddy carved the face. A good time was had by all! Oh and a bonus - mommy baked the pumpkin seeds after they had dried!
