Weekend Fun...

The months of January and February were crazy time for Tyson. It was busy season....meaning there were nights he did not get home until 2 am and then left for work at 7:30 am. He also worked most of the Saturdays and even had to work one Sunday (well, two, but one of them he was able to stay home). So, he was ALWAYS working. But, we did find one Saturday in February where magically, Tyson did not have to work. We decided to take advantage of the time and see more of the American History Museum. We still had not seen the ruby slippers and Kermit....so, we made the trek by metro and had a great time! The ruby slippers were great and Kermit was Kermit :)

We also slipped by the war part of the museum. It was actually really neat the way they have it all set up. Wars are very interesting and intriguing to me. I particularly am interested in WWII. I probably could have stayed there all day, but decided that we did want to see other things as well. There are these stamps that you can get in that part of the museum. You pick up the pamphlet at the beginning of the exhibit and then, 4 time throughout the exhibit you find these stampers and press it in to your pamphlet. It actually was pretty neat. All-in-all fun times at the museum. Plus, Reed did a fabulous job at staying asleep almost the entire time we were there!

As we were leaving, we both were pretty hungry and had always wanted to stop and get a Polish Sausage. (It just seems like something you need to do in DC) So, we stopped and got some. They were delicious!!! Expensive, but well worth the experience :) Yeah for fun Saturdays! (Scroll to the bottom for a video of Tyson and Reed playing the piano!)

It was fantastic and just hit the spot. The best Polish Sausage ever!

Reed absolutely loves the piano! It is one of his favorite things in the whole world! He crawls up to it and stands up and then reaches to play the keys. He even walks up and down the piano, playing all of the different notes. Here he is with Tyson playing away. Note: Tyson is playing a song he made up! How cool!!!
